We'll begin with Brian's birthday celebration.

Caleb and Dad opening presents at the park
I'm not sure who was more excited!

Caleb's imagination has taken off and he really enjoys having you make his stuffed animals and other toys talk to him. It's not unusual to find him having a conversation between toys (Tigger with Pooh). Or Homer...Caleb and Dad and Homer having a conversation in the front window
We have chosen to use the "naughty step" when disciplining Caleb and the other day, I came into the room and he was talking to some clothes hangers and telling them that if they didn't do what they were supposed to they would have to sit on the naughty step for 2 minutes...I couldn't help but laugh! His awakening imagination was also demonstrated when, during snack, he decided that his dinosoar was hungry also and wanted to share his oranges...

Star Wars was a movie that Brian watched with Caleb early on...I think Caleb was only days old the first time he "watched" the movie with Dad. Both of them were Darth Vader on Halloween, and Caleb continues to wear his costume to bed once in a while. The interest continues...

It is often too cold to go only in a diaper, but both Caleb and Bethany have enjoyed it when they have gotten the chance!

"Peek-a-boo"
Caleb enjoys putting things over his head and walking around. It is not a rare thing to look out into the backyard and see him walking across the lawn with the weed bucket (a small, round garbage can) on his head. He will often times dump out his blocks to do the same thing with the storage container...
Bethany has definitely conquered the stairs. She was going up a while ago, immediately prompting us to start using the gate again, but somehow "forgot" for a time. Now there is no stopping her!
Finally, every night we have our baths and then watch a Veggie Tale together as a family. It is the part of our daily routine that both Caleb and Bethany look forward to. For now, Bethany only watches the first few minutes...mainly for the opening theme song (which she dances away to).
