The wedding was beautiful...aren't they all! And unfortunately the reception really wasn't designed for kids so we ended up leaving early in hopes of having a quick dinner and taking a swim in the hotel pool. We went to a little cafe a couple blocks from the hotel and I have to say, Caleb and Bethany are sure troopers because they were very well behaved considering it took over an hour for our food to arrive at the table...after our order was placed. I think they forgot us!! We walked back to the hotel and got ready for the promised swim. We got Caleb one of those swim suit outfits where there is foam in the chest and back to allow for him to float a little and he did great! The hotel had a bin of pool toys, which Caleb enjoyed emptying into the pool. Bethany enjoyed her floatie as well! To our great disappointment, we left the camara back in the room and were therefore unable to take any pictures of this event, but we had a blast!!
Bethany in great spirits after our swim...

After our swim, Caleb decided to stay with Grandma and Grandpa in their room and Bethany stayed with us...thank you for the break!! We all rested in preparation for our next day's adventures.

Caleb and Bethany gathering energy for our big day at the zoo...

In order to get some energy out of Caleb before we stuck him back in the car for another drive home, we went to the Portland Oregon Zoo...
Bethany seemed to take everything in!

If there is water, Caleb will find it!

Dad and Caleb sporting their Superman shirts...

After the zoo, we met Uncle Chris and Aunt Tamara and enjoyed a family lunch...the guys at one table, and us ladies at another.
