A Call for Change

Well, this seems to be the time for change. New family...a new job!

We have known for quite some time now that we would be leaving our current church...but until just recently, we had no idea where or when. Starting April 1st, Brian will be working at Maple Valley Presbyterian Church as the Director of Worship and Arts. It is a great step for him and for our family. We have prayed for a long time to be able to work at a church we would love to be a part of, instead of feeling like we were stuck in a church due to a job. Not that there is anything wrong with Peace Lutheran Church...there are many people that we will miss and feel very blessed with our experiences there! But this step in our lives has passed and it is now time to move on. This new position will also allow Brian to worship with the family more often, instead of being up front every week. That is something I really look forward to! We have met a few wonderful people already, and we believe God has called us to make this change (it's amazing what you hear when you just stop and listen). It is now our job to take this step of faith and trust that all will be well!

Due to this job move, we will most likely be looking at moving up toward Maple Valley in the near future. It is a long drive, and would be more economical (once we find a house within our price range...it's very expensive up there, and once the market picks up a little, so we will be able to sell ours without taking a loss) and with the hours, it would be nice to not have to drive so far for Brian. I have to admit, I really love the area out there as well!
