The Ferry Boat and the Fountain

We took Caleb and Bethany on their first ferry ride today. It is something Caleb has been looking forward to since he played on the toy ferry at Bellevue Square Mall! We ran into quite a bit of traffic on our way there and just missed the ferry we were planning on taking. Because we promised Caleb, we decided to take the next one...which would mean Bethany would not get back in time for her nap (not necessarily a pleasant event)!

We decided to walk around in the hour it would take for the next ferry to arrive...and to Caleb's delight what should we find but a water fountain!

Which in turn meant a very wet kid!

...and time to play for a bigger kid!

The memorial was quite interesting. It was made from a boat propeller and had images carved into the blade.

Finally, it came time for the ferry ride...

And with a little entertainment, we made it back without Bethany breaking down completely.

This was yet another fun adventure. Caleb is already talking about his next ferry boat ride!
