Keeping up with the Keipers: Fun Distractions

Brian left for a conference in Virginia and we decided to have a bit of fun. I don't think Caleb and Bethany even realized Daddy was away!

The Olympia Children's Museum...

Caleb and Bethany enjoy working in the garden planting and picking flowers and vegetables.

Caleb was Handy Manny and went around the museum helping people fix things. He even taught another little boy how to use all of his tools!

One of Bethany's favorite parts of the museum is the water table where you can reroute the flow of water and watch the boats and sealife float along.

Caleb enjoyed showing me the magnetic wall. You can rearrange the spouts and create new paths for the balls to roll down into the buckets.

I don't know what I was thinking, expecting Aidan to want to sleep at all. There is so much activity going on around you that he was constantly stimulated, but he seemed to enjoy watching all of the kids!

One of my favorite things was this oversized pinboard. Caleb seemed to really enjoy it...Bethany wasn't quite sure what to think...

Caleb's favorite animal is the lion. Once he put on this costume, it was nearly impossible to convince him to take it off!

Before we headed home, we took a walk to the fountain outside the capital building. Bethany was intriqued with the rocks that wouldn't come out of the cement walkway and couldn't be convinced to join Pop, Grandma Keiper and Caleb on the bench.

Initially, Bethany needed a little help figuring out how to get into the slide...

But once she figured it out, there was no stopping her!
